Really impressed with the power, the seating postion and how it rode. Didnt get to test out handling due to very wet roads. Enjoyed the reassurance of ABS, TC and slipper cutch.
All first-year bikes have teething issues, but KTM forums blew up with angry customers experiencing basic and sometimes catastrophic failures with their 790 bikes. It became a PR nightmare, and they needed the bike gone. Now, it is back, emissions-compliant (strangely), and ready to open a new chapter, conveniently leaving the past behind.
In years past KTM had it's issues, but they are much more reliable now, like nearing Japanese bikes in reliability. My brother still tells a story of his buddy that had a 20+ year old KTM that was in the shop more than it was ridden, old "fuddlore" that never dies.

This is perfectly normal, especially if the outside temperature is above 30 degrees. I was in Madrid and I know how heavy the traffic there is. If you can not move more than 60-80 km/h for а longer time, then you can not cool the engine properly. Fans do not do miracles, they only help to blow/cool the radiator faster.
I traded a problematic 790 in for a a 2021 890 Duke R. All of the issues that occured with the 790 appear to have been acknowledged and addressed with the 890. It is a superb machine and completely reliable so far.
